Shu-Ha-Ri

Shu — learn the form. Ha — break the form, deliberately, with someone watching. Ri — leave the form behind because you have internalised what it was protecting.

Most teams skip Shu and call the result innovation. It is usually just noise.

You cannot improvise on a structure you never learned.
